CHALLENGE
Cogs & Marvel is a live and digital brand experience agency. Their vision: inspire and connect people by finding better ways to create meaning through story. The company’s brand was many years old and it was time to create a new look and feel to match their vision. They tell stories that come to life in rich, layered environments, activating the senses and crossing into unexpected territory. Their brand system should reflect their dynamic approach to designing experiential journeys across platforms, without aditional boundaries.

THE SOLUTION
Existing letterforms in the Cogs & Marvel logo were explored to create a new visual graphic language. Bringing new energy, perspective was explored to create fresh dynamic shapes that play well across all environments. When the two halves come together, what they create in the middle is deeply rich and nuanced.

A library of 9 Spotlights were composed of overlapping typography with dynamic color pairings to highlight the two halves of the design agencies approach.

 


 

 

The brand expression is told through imagery that each hold a story. Imagery has an element of color intermixed with black and white photography to help balance use in moodboards.
